About Dr. Reeve

From engineer to physician…

Dr. Reeve’s journey into medicine began in Austin, TX, after her position as an electrical engineer was eliminated during a company downsizing. Rather than pursue another engineering role, she saw the moment as an opportunity to re-evaluate her path. What initially felt like a setback turned out to be a pivotal turning point—one that ultimately led her to a more fulfilling and purpose-driven career in medicine.

“While starting a real estate business with my husband, I finally had time to focus on health-promoting practices like yoga, martial arts, and a plant-based diet. Health and wellness had always been a passion of mine, but I realized then that I wanted to help others feel better too—and not just manage illness, but truly thrive.”

Initially planning to pursue a master’s degree in nutrition, Dr. Reeve discovered naturopathic medicine and was inspired by its whole-person approach. After experiencing the benefits of acupuncture herself, she shifted gears and enrolled at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, AZ, completing a four-year doctorate program in naturopathic medicine.

During her training, she witnessed the transformative impact integrative care could have on patients. But she also recognized its limitations in access and awareness. Wanting to reach a broader audience and offer a more complete continuum of care, she made the decision to become a medical doctor.

She went on to earn her MD from the University of Arizona in Tucson, completing the Integrative Medicine Distinction Track and earning honors from both the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She then completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR.

Today, Dr. Reeve provides integrative telemedicine care through Sutter Health’s Institute for Health & Healing in San Francisco, CA, and Quest Health Center in St. Petersburg, FL. Her practice blends conventional and functional medicine, with a focus on restoring balance and supporting the body’s innate ability to heal.

Her clinical approach centers on four foundational pillars of health:

  • Nutrition and Gut Health

  • Emotional Wellbeing and the Mind-Body Connection

  • Restorative Sleep

  • Movement and Physical Activity

Dr. Reeve meets patients where they are—recognizing that healing is a process, and change isn’t always easy. With a compassionate, evidence-informed approach, she empowers her patients to take meaningful steps toward lasting wellness.

“Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
